Ecuadorian powerhouse Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito have introduced their 2016 Umbro home, away and third kits.
The recent Copa Libertadores (2008) and Copa Sudamericana (2009) winners will wear shirts using a bespoke design from Umbro Ecuador for their upcoming domestic and continental seasons. They are highlighted by an innovative ribbed collar that ends with an opening at the neck with a horizontal line of stitching at its bottom.
The LDU Quito 2016 Umbro home jersey is in the club’s usual white with red details. The away shirt is dark blue with tonal horizontal stripes on its front. “La U” will use a dark gray alternate uniform for their 2016 Copa Libertadores campaign. It is given what Umbro calls a “youthful and modern” look thanks to its neon yellow accents.
LDU Quito debuted their 2016 Umbro home kit during this past week’s 1-0 friendly win over Colombia’s América de Cali in their annual “Tarde Blanca” (White Evening) season kickoff celebration.
