Sixteen-time Argentine Primera División champions Club Atlético Independiente revealed their 2016 PUMA home kit on Thursday.
Modeled by played Martín Benítez, Julián Vitale, Jorge Ortiz and Nicolás Tagliafico during its launched, the Independiente 2016 home jersey is inspired by the team’s record seven Copa Libertadores (South America’s equivalent to the UEFA Champions League) titles.
Los Diablos Rojo (The Red Devils) new primary shirt is in their traditional red with a series of tonal diagonal stripes on its front. It uses the form-fitting, polo collared design that was first seen in the Italy 2014 World Cup home kit last summer. Its sleeve cuffs, PUMA branding, sponsor logos and collar are all in CA Independiente’s secondary color of white.
Independiente are expected to debut their 2016 PUMA home kit during their upcoming Copa Libedatores playoff final home and away series with Racing Club.
