Tigres UANL advanced to the finals of the Copa Libertadores (South America’s club championship) when they defeated Brazil’s SC Internacional 4-3 on aggregate on Wednesday night.
The current club of French international André-Pierre Gignac, Tigres unveiled their home and away jerseys for the Apertura 2015 and Clausura 2016 (the two seasons comprising the 2015/16 Liga MX) calendar earlier this week. Both will be available at World Soccer Shop.
The Tigres 2015/16 adidas home kit was worn during their 3-1 home win against Inter. It is in the traditional gold of the Monterrey side with blue used for its polo collar, most of its sleeves and waistline flashes. The three-time Liga MX champions new away shirt is blue with white accenting. It uses adidas now ubiquitous meshed v-neck design that is being worn by host of the German firm’s sponsors club and national teams.
Regular season table toppers last season, Tigres UANL kick off their Apertura 2015 Liga BBVA Bancomer season against Toluca on Saturday. They face Argentine giants River Plate in the finals of the 2015 Copa Libertadores in a home and away series on July 29th and August 5th.
