Pelé Sports NYC #10 T-Shirt

As part of its extensive Spring / Summer 2012 clothing range, Pelé Sports has launched the new NYC t-shirt celebrating Pelé’s spell with the New York Cosmos in the old North American Soccer League (NASL).

In what were his last three seasons as a professional player, Pelé notched sixty four goals in one hundred and seven appearances for the star-studded club and led them to the 1977 Soccer Bowl title.

The new Pelé Sports t-shirt celebrates Pelé’s reign in the Big Apple with the Cosmos via several graphics of soccer significance. They include:

– Weathered, 1970s-styled “nyc” and “10” text on the front of the tee. The “nyc” may be interpreted to represent “New York City” or “New York Cosmos” while “10” is the number that Pelé Sports worn throughout his career.

– Pelé’s signature (also the Pelé Sports logo) on the tee’s front and right sleeve.
– The text “75-77” and the quote “Love! Love! Love!” on the NYC’s tee upper back. The digits represent Pelé’s run with the Cosmos from 1975 to 1977 while the quote is from Pelé ‘s final address to the Cosmos’ fans before his retirement from the team and soccer in 1977.
