Reissue: Real Betis 1988/89 hummel Home Jersey

Real Betis fans were treated to a nostalgic trip down memory lane on Sunday, when the team wore a special retro kit for their Spanish LaLiga win over Las Palmas. The shirt, made by hummel, was inspired by the home shirt that Betis wore in the 1988 to 1989 season.

The jersey features the iconic white and green colors of Betis, with a white polo collar and v-neck combination. The shirt also has the Expo 92 de Sevilla logo on the chest, as a tribute to the world’s fair that took place in Real Betis’ home city of Seville  in 1992. 1980s era hummel chevrons are present on the sleeves and shoulders.

The Real Betis 1988/89 retro kit was part of hummel’s ongoing theme of referencing their 80s shirt archive, which they have done for several teams this season.
