PUMA and Japanese street label BAPE (also known as A Bathing Ape) have created a pair of soccer jerseys for the fictitious FC BAPE. Modeled by AC Milan and Italy striker Mario Balotelli, the shirts are part of a collaborative collection recently released by both firms.
Along with the rest of the now sold out range, the PUMA x FC BAPE 2016 kits features a fusion of high street style and sports by integrating BAPE’s famous camouflage print and graphics into PUMA’s sports performance apparel. The result are shirts is classic camouflage green / brown and urban gray / olive / and black colorways. They feature modern v-necks with reflective piping on their shoulders and lower backs.
The PUMA logo appears on the jersey’s right breast and sleeves while the web addresses for PUMA and BAPE are printed on the shoulders. The FC BAPE badge is is printed on the left breast and signoff areas of the kits. The crest includes a popular line from Planet of the Apes – “Ape Shall Never Kill Ape.”
