One day after the club was crowned Chilean Primera División champions for the thirty-first time, Under Armour unveiled the Colo-Colo 2016 home kit.
The new primary shirt for the team nicknamed “El Eterno Campeón” (The Eternal Champion) is in their traditional white base and matched with their customary black shorts. It uses yellow as its primary color on its sleeve cuffs and collar. The selection of the color was inspired by the yellow goalkeeper uniform worn netminder Daniel Morón during Colo-Colo’s Copa Libertadores winning run of 1991.
The Colo-Colo 2016 Under Armour home kit features a classic overapping v-neck design with a somewhat looser fit than many current football shirts. Player issued shirts will have a sublimated club crest intended to reduce the overall weight of the kit. UA branding appears in black on its sleeve and right breast.
World Soccer Shop is expected to carry the new kit ahead of the start of the next Chilean season.
