Dominguez signed for El Che from Russian Premier League outfit Rubin Kazan. He also played for Zenit St. Petersburg from 2007 to 2009. During this period the club won the 2008 UEFA Cup.

Dominguez will wear the number 25 shirt for Valencia featuring his surname rather than his ‘Chori’ moniker.
