Ronaldo’ s remarkable comeback continued when he scored twice last night as Corinthians earned a 2-2 draw against Ponte Preta in the Brazilian Paulista championship.
Ronaldo gave Corinthians the lead by first converting a penalty in the 38th minute. He later scored in the 58th minute as he controlled a pass with his left foot, eluded his marker and placed the ball in the far corner of the net.
Ronaldo has scored four goals in five games for Corinthians since his comeback from a long term injury on March 5, 2009. He has set a target of 30 goals for this season in the Campeonato Brasileiro and hope to earn a recall to the Brazilian national team.
