Carlos "El Pibe" Valderrama Can Still Pull the Fans

[digg=http://digg.com/soccer/Carlos_El_Pibe_Valderrama_Can_Still_Pull_the_Fans]For those of you who don’t know him, the Wikipedia entry on Carlos Valderramma reads:

Carlos Alberto “El Pibe” Valderrama Palacio (born September 2, 1961 in Santa Marta, Colombia) is a former Colombian footballer. He was instantly recognisable for the mass of blond, permed hair that he habitually sported. Valderrama captained Colombia during the 1990, 1994 and 1998 World Cups. Between 1985 and 1998 he represented Colombia in 111 full internationals and scored 11 times, making him the most capped player in the country’s history. He is generally regarded as Colombia’s finest ever player.

He’s also regarded as one of the greatest South American and Major League Soccer players ever.

Over the past few days, El Pibe was back in the United States on a promotional tour for T-Mobile. He appeared at T-Mobile locations in Miami and New York signing autographs and getting chummy with his fans. Based on what we see, El Pibe can still pull them.

LONG LIVE THE VALDERRFRO! Everton’s Marouane Fellaini has got nothing on El Pibe.
