Superliga Argentina side Vélez Sarsfield wore a limited edition home kit celerating the fiftieth anniversary of the first ever Primera División title in their league win over Rosario Central on Monday evening.
The Vélez Sarsfield commemorative jersey is provided by El Fortín (The Small Fort) technical sponsor Kappa and is a modern version of the shirt worn by club in 1968.
The Vélez Sarsfield 1968 Kappa commemorative kit is made of polyester microfibre pique with a woven collar and cuffs. Vélez’ famous V is sewn onto the garment’s chest area in navy blue. The club’s shield and the Kappa Ominis logos are printed in gold on the V shape.
Each shirt carries a 1968 Argentina national champion jog tag numbered from 1 to 1968. A single star above the number 68 is printed at the top of the player numbers at the back of the kit.
