Paris Saint-Germain wore a commemorative version of their latest Nike home kit celebrating damaged cathedral Notre Dame during Sunday’s Ligue 1 win over Monaco on Sunday.
The special edition jersey is bereft of sponsor logos and has a print of the iconic Catholic church on its front.
A patch recognizing Notre Dame also appears on the shirt’s left sleeve. “NOTRE DAME” is printed in place of player names on the kit.
One thousand of the Paris Saint-Germain 2019 Notre Dame Nike home kits were made by the French club.
They sold out at the club’s brick and mortar and online stores within thirty minutes of their release. All of the proceeds of the €100-priced shirts will go towards firefighting-related charities in Paris.
