Co-owned by Brazilian great Ronaldo, the Fort Lauderdale Strikers are one of two teams in the North American Soccer League wearing kits from Toronto-based Inaria for the 2016 season.
The South Florida-based club’s new home jersey uses a v-neck design in the red and yellow hoops that they have worn since their days in the NASL of the 1970s and 80s. The collar and sleeve cuffs on the shirt are black while a red block occupies much of its back to accommodate player numbers. A stylized letter “F” is printed on the kit’s signoff area. The Fort Lauderdale Strikers 2016 away jersey uses the same Inaria design as the home shirt in two shades of gray. Its collar and sleeve detailing are yellow.
The Strikers’ 2016 home kit has an American flag printed on its lower front. The alternate jersey feature the flag of the state of Florida in the same spot.
Still a fledgling brand in the world of soccer, Inaria signed an apparel endorsement deal with Toronto FC and Italy attacker Sebastian Giovinco last November.
