Promotion-chasing Spanish Segunda División side Real Oviedo kicked off their 90th Anniversary celebrations this week with the unveiling of a special edition hummel kit commemorating the milestone.
La Liga regulars in the 1990s, Real Oviedo have departed from their usual home blue in favor of an all black look for their 90th Anniversary uniform.
Matched with black shorts and socks, Los Azules (The Blues) new jersey uses a classic Mao collar that opens up to a sky blue and white placket. White piping runs along the shoulders while hummel’s chevrons run down its flanks.
Real Oviedo Cross of Victory and the motto “Orgullo, Valor y Garra” (Pride, bravery and guts) are printed on the shirt’s left sleeve. The official crest of La Liga and the club’s initials of “RO” appear on the outside upper back.
Owned by Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, Real Oviedo are currently in third place in the Liga Adelante after twenty seven matches played in the 2015/16 season.
