Eleven-time Swedish champions Djurgårdens IF Fotboll have unveiled their 2016 home kit from longtime outfitter adidas.
The “Blåränderna” (Blue Stripes) debuted what is their first new home uniform in over two years during Monday’s 2-1 Svenska Cupen (Swedish Cup) win over Ljungskile at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm.
The Djurgårdens IF 2016 adidas home jersey sees the club depart from their polo collared first choice look of the past few years in favor of a crew neck design. The club’s alternating light and dark blue stripes run along its the shirt’s front and back while the sleeves and shoulders are in light blue with dark blue adidas stripes. The shoulder area of the kit is made of ventilated fabric.
Player issue versions of the new Djurgårdens IF home kit feature a plethora of sponsor logos in white. Player names and numbers on the back of the jersey are also in white.
Among Sweden’s best-supported clubs, Djurgardens kick off their 2016 Allsvenskan season with a trip to Syrianska FC this coming Sunday.
