Highly-rated Bosnia & Herzegovina international striker Edin Dzeko was presented as a Manchester City player on Tuesday following his reported £27m move from German Bundeslia club VfLWolfsburg. The striker is expected to feature in the Citizens’ English Premier League meeting with relegation-threatened Wolverhampton on Saturday given a new injury to fellow forward Mario Balotelli.
Dzeko scored 66 goals in 111 games for Wolfsburg including 10 goals in 17 league games this season. He’s notched 17 in 31 matches for Bosnia & Herzegovina since making his national team debut at age 20 in 2007.
With Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini currently favouring forwards Jo, Balotelli and Tevez in his attacking line, Dzeko’s arrival at the club is expected to be the catalyst for the departures of Emmanuel Adebayor and Roque Santa Cruz.
