Global sportswear brand PUMA has collaborated with Manchester City to launch the club’s latest away kit for the 2023/24 Premier League, EFL Cup, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League seasons. The all-white jersey with gold accents pays homage to Manchester’s industrial past through subtle design details.
The City 23/24 PUMA away jersey takes inspiration from Manchester’s mills and warehouses that fueled the city’s textile industry and economy. This industrial heritage is referenced through an allover tonal graphic print on the jersey with a retro feel.
Gold flame accents are a nod to the iconic brickwork of Ancoats. On the inside neck, a symbolic Manchester factory cityscape silhouette depicts factory chimneys and rooftops.
PUMA outfitted the authentic version of the new Man City away kit with advanced ULTRAWEAVE fabric containing 4-way stretch fibers to optimize movement on the pitch. dryCELL technology wicks moisture to keep players comfortable and focused.
The Manchester City 2023/24 replica away jersey uses 100% recycled polyester augmented with dryCELL tech for sweat control. Both versions employ fabrics and construction aimed at peak performance.
The shirt kit is created with sustainability in mind. The replica uses entirely recycled polyester while the authentic excludes only trims and decorations. This initiative helps reduce environmental impact.
“We wanted to design a kit that was fit for champions”, said Marco Mueller, PUMA Senior Head of Product Line Management Teamsport Apparel. “The jersey combines modern design elements with nods to the city itself, resulting in something that truly resonates with those that wear it, whether that’s on the pitch or in the stands. The jersey is powered by Manchester – combining industrial colors with a traditional collar that really gives a progressive but classic style.”
Serena Gosling, Director of Integrated Fan Experience and Retail & Licensing, Manchester City said: “We’re delighted to reveal our 2023/24 Away kit today, completing our offering of kits for the new season. Both our Home kit celebrating 20 years of the Etihad Stadium, which launched in May, and our electrifying Third kit, which launched last month in Tokyo, as part of our preseason tour of Asia, have been hugely popular, breaking club sales records again. As we launch our Away kit today, we hope that our fans love the inspiration and design of this kit too.”
