Video: FC Barcelona Javier Mascherano Official Presentation / Presentación Oficial

Argentinian international midfielder Javier Mascherano was officially presented as an FC Barcelona player on Monday following his $26.6m dollar from English Premier League club Liverpool. He joins Barcelona on a four-year deal with  buy-out clause of €90m.

Mascherano will wear the number 14 at Barcelona following the departure of the shirt’s previous wearer Thierry Henry to the New York Red Bulls. The Argentina captain joins David Villa and Adriano Correia as Barca’s third major signing of the 2010/11 soccer calendar.
