The branding of acclaimed English rock band The Rolling Stones will grace the FC Barcelona 2023/24 Nike home kit for the El Clásico match against Real Madrid on October 28. In a historic collaboration, the iconic Tongue and Lips logo of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood will replace the Spotify logo on the front of Barça’s jerseys, bringing the legendary musical act to the grand global stage of the Spanish LaLiga’s biggest football rivalry.
This marks the first time the pulsating rhythms and gritty guitar licks that catapulted The Rolling Stones to worldwide fame in the 1960s will infiltrate the realm of La Liga. Their timeless catalog of hits has become entrenched in pop culture, serving as the soundtrack to generations of music lovers across continents and demographics.
The timing coincides with the October 20 release of the new Stones album “Hackney Diamonds,” their first collection of original songs in nearly two decades. The rock icons are returning after a prolonged absence from the studio.
The Stones Tongue and Lips will also appear on the women’s jerseys when Barça Femení take on Sevilla on November 5.
There will be two limited edition jerseys of the shirt available on October 23. The FC Barcelona x The Rolling Stones Limited Edition batch will number 1,899 kits identical to those worn in the matches, while the Signed Limited Edition of only 22 jerseys will be personally autographed by the starting players from both games.
