Espanyol’s new player Shunsuke Nakamura (中村 ä¿Šè¼”) got a rock star welcome from over 6,000 fans and 300 journalists during  his official presentation in Barcelona on July 13, 2009.

Japan international Nakamura, 31, signed with Espanyol last month for an estimated annual wage of 1.2 million euros (1.7 million dollars).  The hardworking midfielder had previously obtained cult hero status at Scottish Premier League side Celtic FC over the course of the last 4 years and 129 games.
