Marathon Sports has released the home jersey for reigning Ecuadorian Serie A champions Barcelona Sporting Club. It will make its debut during Friday evening’s “Noche Amarilla” (Yellow Night) pre-season friendly against Peru’s Club Juan Aurich. The match will see former Uruguay, Manchester United and Atlético Madrid striker Diego Forlán represent the eight-time champions of Ecuador as an invited player.
The new jersey uses a modern v-neck design in Barcelona’s traditional yellow. Tonal horizontal stripes run along its front and back. The team saying of “Un grito que sale del alma” (A cry that comes from the soul) is printed on the inside neckline. “2017” appears on the outside collar at the back of the shirt. Its blue side stripes contain the Cross of Staint George and La Senyera from the Barcelona SC and city of Barcelona flag.
The crest of the Barcelona SC 2017 home jersey is made from thermo adhesive seal to create a three dimensional look. Marathon’s lightweight Hidrotec fabric is use for the entire kit.
