Brazil’s Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama have signed a multi-year kit kit deal with Umbro after several seasons with Penalty.
The four-time Brazilian Serie A champions launched their kit collection from the UK-firm on Thursday night in Rio de Janeiro. The 2014/15 home and away uniforms will be worn for the rest of Vasco da Gama’s Campeonato Brasileiro Série B season and the 2015 Campeonato Carioca (Rio de Janeiro State Championship). The home kit will make its match debut during Firday evening’s league meeting with Bragantino.
Current Vasco players Kléber, Everton Costa, Rafael Copetti, Além destes, Gabriel Félix and Bruno Cosendey were among the models of the new range.
The Vasco da Gama 2014/15 Umbro home and away jerseys both feature the club’s famous diagonal sash. Several paragraphs detailing the club’s battle against racism in the early twentieth century are printed on the inside neck area of the shirts. Vasco’s anti-racism symbol is printed on the outside upper back of them.
Vasco are currently in fourth position of Serie B as they seek a quick return to Serie A following last season’s relegation.
