UEFA Champions League 2011/12 Group Stage Draw

The group stage draw for the 2011/12 edition of the UEFA Champions League took place in Monaco, France on Thursday evening.

The draw sees defending champions FC Barcelona being drawn against seven time European champion AC Milan and Eastern European opponents FC BATE Borisov and FC Viktoria Plzeň in Group H. Last year’s defeated finalists Manchester United will meet FC OÅ£elul GalaÅ£i, SL Benfica and FC Basel in Group C.

FC Bayern München (whose Fußball Arena München will host the tournament final on Saturday 19 May 2012) were drawn into a difficult Group A along with Villarreal CF, Manchester City FC and SSC Napoli.

UEFA Champions League group stage action kicks off on September 13th and 14th. The first matchday of the tournament features several mouthwatering matchups that include Barcelona vs. AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund vs. Arsenal and Manchester City vs. Napoli.
