2011 Copa Centroamericana Schedule

The Unión Centroamericana de Fútbol (UNCAF) 2011 Copa Centroamericana kicks off in Panama City later today. The tournament serves as the national team championship for Central America and will see its top five finishers qualify for this summer’s 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup in the United States. All matches will take place at the Estadio Rommel Fernández in Panama City.

Defending champions and hosts Panama, six-time champion Costa Rica and 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier Honduras rank as the favorites to take the cup home. Guatemala and El Salvador should also have a say in proceedings while Nicaragua and Belize have shown signs of improvement in recent times.
