Resurgent Los Angeles Galaxy forward Edson Buddle scored his first two international goals on Saturday to lead the United States to a 3-1 win over Australia in a World Cup warmup match.

Substitute forward Herculez Gomez added a third in extra time while starting forward Robbie Findley had one near miss and hit the crossbar once for the Americans.

Tim Cahill made the game 1-1 for the outplayed Socceroos in the 19th minute.
