Ruud van Nistelrooy Hamburg SV Official Presentation

The former Manchester United striker joined the German Bundesliga club on a free transfer from Real Madrid after rejecting several offers from English Premier League clubs.

“I could have joined a Premier League club as well, but I’ve already had five great seasons in England. I wanted a new challenge and I’m very excited to play in the Bundesliga now,” said van Nistelrooy to German newspaper Bild.

Hamburg SV currently lies in fifth position in the German top-tier.
