Larsson featured in Helsingborg’s 2-0 Allsvenska defeat to Djurgarden last night to bring an end to a storied career that began in 1988.
Larsson leaves the game with over 300 goals scored for the likes of Helsingborg, Feyenoord, Celtic FC, FC Barcelona and Manchester United.
He also made over 100 appearances for Sweden that included a memorable run in the 1994 FIFA World Cup that saw the Swedes finish in 3rd place.
Helsingborg has retired Larsson’s #17 shirt in his honour.
