Newcastle Jets Football Club emerged as the biggest winners of Round 1 of the 2017/18 A-League thanks to their 5-1 away rout of Central Coast Mariners on Saturday.
The Jets have switched kit providers to sportswear firm Viva following a three year stint with rugby shirt specialists BLK. The aspiring firm has worked with Newcastle to create a three uniform match range for the club for the new season.
All three kits use a modern rounded neck design from Viva with prominent vertical bands on their fronts. The stripes are tonal on the blue home and gold away jerseys. The third shirt is white with a mainly blue frontal stripe that has a small red and white section at its middle.
An A-League founding club, Newcastle Jets FC were the league’s champions in 2008. They have only qualified for its post-season playoffs once since.
