Newell’s Old Boys 2016/17 adidas Home Kit

The first and now current club of former Argentina, Atletico Madrid and Liverpool midfielder Maxi Rodríguez, Newell’s Old Boys are in their second year of their technical partnership with adidas.

The six-time Primera División unveiled their 2016/17 home kit this past week with modeling from Rodriguez, Ignacio Scocco, Diego Mateo and goalkeepers Luciano Pocrnjic and Ezequiel Unsain.

The new “La Lepra” primary shirt features their customary red and and black halves on its front. The back of the jersey is all red while its sides and sleeves and black.

The kit uses a relatively simple adidas design with a v-neck collar and the German brand’s much-loved shoulder stripes.

Newell’s Old Boy’s will debut their 2016/17 adidas home kit during Sunday’s Torneo de Primera División clash with Tigre at El Estadio Marcelo Bielsa in Rosario.
