AEK Athens 2016/17 Nike Home, Away and Third Kits

Last season’s Greek Cup champions AEK Athens Football Club revealed their 2016/17 Nike home and away kits last week.

AEK have departed from their traditional home look of yellow and black stripes in favor of a mainly black primary kit for the 16/17 season. The the rounded neck shirt is detailed with gold pinstripes. The AEK Athens crest and player names and numbers are also gold. The numbering includes picture from the 92 year old team’s storied history.

The AEK FC 2016/17 away jersey uses their familiar yellow and black vertical stripes on a v-neck Nike kit template. A block of black on the back of the shirt provides an area for player names and numbers.

A pink AEK 16/17 kit will also be worn by the club. It uses a very simple Nike design and will be priced lower than AEK’s new home and away shirts at their club shops.

Rebuilding following a period of financial turmoil, AEK Athens currently has well-known players such as Joleon Lescott (formerly of Everton and Manchester City), Dmytro Chygrynskiy (formerly FC Barcelona) and Hugo Almeida (formerly FC Porto) on their roster.
