Video: Honduras 3 – Guatemala 1 (Copa Centroamericana 2011 Highlights)

2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers Honduras defeated Guatemala 3-1 in the group stage of the 2011 Copa Centroamericana on Tuesday. The result sees Los Catrachos advance to the semi-final round of the competition and qualify to the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup to be held this summer in the USA.

Ramon Nunez opened the scoring for the favored Hondurans in the 13th before Guatemala’s Pando Ramirez’s 30-meter free kick tied the game in the 24th. Jorge Claros sealed the win for Honduras with goals in the 42dn and 89th

Guatemala must now defeat fellow Group A  third place finisher Nicaragua on  Friday to progress to the Gold Cup.
