Jako and the Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM) have revealed the home, away and third kits that will be worn by North Macedonia at this summer’s UEFA EURO 2020. They will continue to be worn over the rest of the 2021/22 international soccer calendar as the team embarks on its FIFA World Cup 2022 qualification campaign.
The three shirts use the same modern v-neck soccer jersey design from Jako with color contrasting via the rear neckline and side stripes. The home kit is claret with white details while the away and third shirts use while and gold and black and orange colorways respectively.
The kits are highlighted with large embossed images of a hissing Balkan Lynx on their fronts.
Rahila Iliev from FFM played a decisive role in the design of the new jerseys. She has helped design previous national team jerseys. The national players and fans of North Macedonia can identify with the Balkan lynx as a national symbol. At the same time it is a statement for nature conservation. The Balkan lynx is classified as “critically endangered” in the Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Most of the animals found in the wild are found in Mavrovo National Park in northeastern North Macedonia.
