adidas has released a new special edition kit as a tribute to the 125th anniversary of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), which was established on March 26, 1898. The jersey is also inspired by the one that Italy wore at their first ever match in 1910, when they beat France 6-2 at the Arena Civica in Milan.
The latest Azzurri shirt has a retro look, but with modern technology and materials. The kit is white with gold details, and features the FIGC shield with a golden laurel wreath and the 125th anniversary logo on the chest. The adidas logo is also gold along with the brand’s three stripes running down the shoulders. The shirt has a white crew-neck and short sleeves with a “Flatnik” weaving technique that gives it a soft and vintage feel. On the right side, there is a label commemorating the anniversary.
The accompanying shorts are also white with gold details with the FIGC shield on the right thigh. The uniform’s socks are black with gold embroidery, and have the word Italy on the front, the adidas logo on the back, and the three stripes below the knee.

The Italy senior men’s national soccer team will debut their 125th Anniversary kit during Thursday’s UEFA Nations League semi-final against Spain on June 15th.
