Denim experts Levi’s and French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have announced a partnership that will see the American firm work with the club on casual clothing collections.
According to PSG: Levi’s and the French sports brand Paris Saint-Germain have joined forces to bring together the best in authentic style and sporting iconography with the launch of a range of denim products.
Launching this week with a two-piece denim Trucker jacket capsule, the collaboration focuses on providing football fans around the world with iconic clothing that they can wear during sporting occasions and in their daily lives.
A timeless classic, Levi’s Trucker jacket has been a mainstay of every wardrobe since 1962. The Levi’s Paris Saint-Germain Trucker features the team’s name, embroidered in white lettering across the back and the Paris Saint-Germain logo on the left shoulder sleeve. Fans can further customize the jacket.
‘‘We’re thrilled to be partnering with such an iconic club as Paris Saint-Germain, and give football fans around the world the chance to show their passion for the game in new and stylish ways, said Santiago Cuchy, VP Levi’s Europe South. ‘With the launch of the Levi’s x 49ers NFL Collection last year, we saw a tremendous amount of success and excitement that we wanted to build on. As such, it was important for us to work with an equally iconic brand that shared our passion for the inspiring city of Paris. Our collaboration with Paris Saint-Germain does just that.’’
Fabien Allègre, Director of Brand Diversification, Paris Saint-Germain, added: “We are glad to welcome Levi’s into the Paris Saint-Germain family. The Levi’s trucker is an iconic denim item, soon to become a must have for our fans worldwide. Developed with a leading American brand, this collaboration demonstrates once more the capacity of the Club to differentiate itself from others while providing its growing audience with new ways to share their passion in their everyday lives.”
Following the launch of the Trucker jackets for Fall/Winter 2015, an extended collection will be introduced for Spring/Summer 2016.
