Associação Chapecoense de Futebol, usually called Chapecoense, will return to the top-tier of Brazilian football, the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, for the first time since 1979 following promotion from Série B at the end of last season.
Earlier this week, the modest club from Chapecó nicknamed Verdão (Big Green) by its fans launched its 2014 home and away kits from Umbro. Both jerseys use a new simplistic ribbed v-neck design from the UK-based soccer specialists.
The green home uniform will make its debut when Chapecoense hosts Coritiba at the Arena Condá in the opening round of the 2014 Série A season this weekend.
