Cruz Azul Umbro 2010/11 Home and Away Kits / Camisetas
Club Deportivo Social y Cultural Cruz Azul , also known as Cruz Azul, is a Mexican professional football (soccer) club. They are nicknamed “Los Cementeros” (the “Cement Makers” in English) or La Máquina (“The Machine”) and currently play in the Primera División de México.
Los Cementeros are traditionally one of the most popular and successful teams in Mexico. They have been the Primera División champions 8 times and trail only Toluca with 10, Club América with 10, and Guadalajara with 11.
In an elaborate ceremony on Thursday night, Cruz Azul presented their Umbro home and away kits for the upcoming Mexican Apertura 2010. The Cruz Azul 2010/11 Umbro kits are inspired by those worn by the team in the 1970s when they were a dominant force in Mexican soccer.
The Cruz Azul cheerleaders or Las Celestes were on hand for additional entertainment. Here’s a look at the new kits being shown off and of Las Celestes in action.
