They finished in 7th place in the  2009 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.

Gremio unveiled their Puma 2010 home and away kits on Saturday night before their 1-0 Campeonato Gaúcho victory over Porto Alegre. The club took the unique approach of having a very fancentric kit presentation with over 40 female fans taking the field in the new club jerseys.
