Videos: Puerto Rico Islanders 2 – Cruz Azul 0 (CONCACAF Champions League Highlights)

[digg=http://digg.com/soccer/Puerto_Rico_Islanders_2_Cruz_Azul_0_Champions_League]The USL’s Puerto Rico Islanders defeated five-time CONCACAF champion Cruz Azul 2-0 in the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions League semifinal on Tuesday night.  Sandy Gbandi and Nicholas Addlery scored 1st half goals for the hosts  in front of over 13,000 at the Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

Islanders goalkeeper Bill Guadette made a series of spectacular saves throughout the game as the Puerto Rican side face an onslaught from the reigning Mexican champions.

The Islanders will now travel to Mexico City for the April 7th  second leg of the home and away series.
