Newcastle United Signs Kit Sponsorship Deal with Virgin Money

English Premier League side Newcastle United has signed a kit sponsorship deal with Virgin Money. The club had worn shirts adorned with Northern Rock for the past few years up until the last round of league matches. However, given Virgin Money’s acquisition of Norhtern Rock on Jauary 1, 2012 the new deal is not entirely unexpected.

The two year sponsorship deal was announced on Wednesday ahead of Newcastle’s 3-0 win over Manchester United at Sports Direct Arena. The match saw the Magpies wear versions of their PUMA 2011/12 home jerseys featuring the Virgin Money logo for the first time.

The Newcastle United PUMA 2011/12 home, away and third kits were released in the Summer 0f 2011.  All three kits are now available at the World Soccer Shop Newcastle United Store.
