SEVILLA, December 17, 2011 — Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick to lead Real Madrid to a 6-2 win over Sevilla at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán on Saturday. The result secures top spot for Real in the Spanish La Liga heading into the league’s winter break.

Real Madrid 6 - Sevilla 2 Highlights / Resumen

Ronaldo and Jose Callejón put the visitors up 3-0 by minute 41 before defender Pepe was ejected for a foul on Alvaro Negredo. However, Sevilla remained impotent on attack and found themselves down 4-0 in the 65th when Angel Di María scored on a Real Madrid counter attack. Goals from Jesus Navas in the 69th and Negredo in the 91st served as some consolation for the now fifth placed Sevilla.

Ronaldo converted a penalty in the 85th while substitute Hamit Altintop scored his first goal for Real since moving to the club from Bayern Munich in the summer.
