Then on Tuesday today over 80,000 showed up at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, Spain for a glance at Real Madrid’s biggest signing of the year – Portuguese international and current FIFA World Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo.
Following all of this action was today’s presentation of new Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema. As expected, Benzema could not draw as many attendees for his official presentation as Kaká and Ronaldo. Neverthless, showed 15,000 Madridistas up to get a look at him in the Real Madrid kit.
Real Madrid acquired the 21-year-old French striker of Algerian descent from Olympique Lyon last month for transfer fee of â‚¬35m with the fee rising to as much as â‚¬41m based on incentives.
Benzema’s Real Madrid jersey number has not yet been set by the club.
