Club América Nike Clausura 2012 Third Kit / Camiseta

Mexican giant Club de Fútbol América (commonly called Club América or Club America) has launched its Clausura 2012 Nike third kit. The new Águilas kit was unveiled at Nike Futbol México’s ‘América Ahora’ (América Now) event in Mexico City on Thursday night. It will be worn by América when it faces Toluca on January 14th at the fabled Estadio Azteca in league action.

The Club América Nike Clausura 2012 strip was modeled by current players Christian “Hobbit” Bermúdez, Oswaldo Vizcarrondo, Moisés Muñoz and José María Cárdenas at ‘América Ahora’.

It departs from the club’s usual yellow and blue in favor of an all white jersey with a navy blue collar along with navy blue shorts and socks. The shirt design appears to be the same as that used for América 95th Anniversary kit.

Ten times Primera División and five times CONCACAF Champions’ Cup / Champions League champions, América finished the Apertura 2011 season in a disappointing seventeenth position.
