Striker Asamoah Gyan’s near-post header put the Black Stars ahead on 21 minutes.

Ghana were able to maintain their lead as goalkeeper Richard Kingson and his defence thwarted multiple Nigerian attacks during the second half of the match.

Ghana will meet defending champions Egypt in the final of the tournament on Sunday.
