The Philippines 2016/17 home, away and third kits have been quietly released by Philippine Football Association technical partner LGR Sportswear.
The improving Asian team have worn their white home and red away 16/17 uniforms during recent friendlies in the lead-up to the 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup. The “Azkals” Street Dogs) blue third kit made its debut during Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Indonesia in Southeast Asia’s biennial football championship.
All three of the Philippines 2016/17 kits uses the same new shirt template from LGR. The design features a contemporary crewneck collar with a band in contrasting colors from the rest of the jersey on its back park. The same colors are used on the sleeve cuffs of the kits.
A subtle printed inspired by the Filipino art appears on the entire front of the 16/17 Azkals home, away and third shirts. The Philipines national flag (front which the colors of the kits are derived) is screen printed on the right sleeves.
Co-hosts of the 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup, the Philippines have drawn both of their two group stage matches so far. A win against defending champions Thailand on Friday will put them into the tournament semi-finals for the second competition in a row.
