Zanzibar 2016/17 AMS Home and Away Kits

Australian sportswear firm AMS has signed a technical sponsorship deal with the Zanzibar Football Association.

The firm known for outfitting small African footballing countries such as Rwanda, Sierra Leone and South Sudan has unveiled the 2016/17 home and away kits for the Zanzibar national team. They will be worn during December’s CECAFA Cup (East Africa’s soccer championship) should the tournament go ahead as planned and during friendlies over the next year.

The black Zanzibar 16/17 home kit uses a y-neck design with sublimated graphics that replicate the look of a dashiki (a traditional African men’s shirt). The team’s away jersey is light blue with prints inspired by the culture of the East African island on its front at back and on its waistline and sleeve cuffs.

Not recognized by FIFA, Zanzibar is a member of the Confederation of African Football. Their biggest footballing achievement to date is their 1995 CECAFA Cup title.
