The Ireland men’s rugby union team kick off their Autumn internationals with a high-profile meeting with New Zealand in Chicago on Saturday.
The Irish will don their 2016/17 Canterbury home kit for the clash with the world champion All Blacks. It was released earlier this year along with the Ireland 16/17 alternate rugby shirt.
Both use a new design from Canterbury that is highlighted by a standing collar and piping across the front and back shoulders. The home jersey is in the traditional primary green of the Irish rugby team with white and bright green detailing. The Ireland 2016/17 away shirt is the team’s first plum kit in recent memory.
Canterbury’s innovative VaporDri fabric is used for the new Ireland rugby kits. The material allows wears to remain cool or warm depending on playing conditions while dissipating sweat quickly.
