Wales Rugby World Cup 2023 Macron Kits

Wales is donning newly released kits at Rugby World Cup 2023 in France. The jerseys designed by Macron, the WRU’s technical partner since 2021, blend Welsh traditions with sustainability.

The red Wales Rugby World Cup 2023 home jersey features a white polo neck and white sleeve cuffs. The words “Pleidiol Wyf I’m Gwlad” (Faithful I am to my country) from the Welsh anthem are embossed under the collar and on the shirt’s sides. The Wales RWC 2023 away kit is black with yellow trims, including a yellow polo neck and sleeve cuffs. A faded yellow Saint David’s cross graphic, representing Wales’ patron saint, is embossed on the front.

The 2023/24 Wales rugby shirts are made from Eco Fabric, derived entirely from recycled plastic bottles, demonstrating WRU and Macron’s shared commitment to sustainability. They utilize body-fit designs with Eco-Armevo fabric and Eco-Boditex inserts for optimal breathability and durability.

The Rugby World Cup and Macron logos are embroidered in white and yellow respectively on the chests alongside the WRU emblem. “Designed in Bologna” is printed inside the neck, highlighting Macron’s Italian headquarters where the kits were conceived.

The new jerseys are intended to allow the Wales national team to honor national pride and tradition on rugby’s biggest stage in France 2023.
