Sheffield United Football Club wrapped up their 125th Anniversary celebrations on Saturday with the release of their 2015/16 home kit from adidas.
Worn during The Blades 1-0 win over Port Vale at Bramall Lane, the new shirt departs from Sheffield United’s familiar red and white vertical stripes. Instead the team will wear a one off adidas design that is a modern interpretation of the first recognized Sheffield United kit from the 1890s. The mainly white shirt with red pinstripes also features the first identified United badge.
The retro look of the 15/16 jersey is completed with a classic, oversized polo collar. The new Sheffield United home strip is matched with red shorts and red socks.
Last a Premier League side in 2007, Sheffield United have competed in League One (the third tier of football in England) since 2011.
