Paraguay National Football Team Crest Updated

The Paraguayan Football Association (Asociación Paraguaya de Fútbol) has modernized their crest ahead of the 2015 Copa America tournament.

The new badge will feature on the Paraguay 2015/16 home and away kits when they are released in the lead up to the South American soccer championship.

The antiquated 1970s and 80s feel of the previous badge has been replaced by one in which the golden star of the APF is given a bolder appearance and no longer surrounded by a circular border. While the series of four Paraguayan flags around the star is still present, they are of greater width. The text on the new badge is simply APF and Paraguay.

Copa America finalists in 2011 and FIFA World Cup quarter-finalists in 2010, Paraguay will meet Argentina, Uruguay and Jamaica the group stage of the 2015 edition of the competition.
