The Malta national football team debuted its 2014/16 home kit from Givova during Sunday’s 1-1 UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying draw with Bulgaria in Sofia.
The red shirt was released along with the European minnows 14/16 white away jersey ahead of the what turned out to be one of the EURO qualifier shocks of the ongoing international break.
Both use a new design from Italy’s Givova with several pairs of tonal diagonal stripes on their fronts. The Maltese Cross is embroidered on the upper left breasts of the kits. Replica versions carry a sponsor logo while player issue jerseys do not.
UK Soccer Shop is one of the few football shirt retailers expected to have both kits in stock in the near future.
